BCYC

In 2018, I joined the Bach Chamber Youth Choir, a youth choir with ages between 14 and 24, based in Toronto, Ontario. The music performed ranged from Disney to Rheinburger to Simon and Garfunkle, carrying a different tone with each piece. James Pinhorn led each rehearsal and offered a different experience each time with new jokes, new stories about his students, and new experiences that helped us focus tones for different pieces. With Brad, the assistant director, having his band and James' experience with music, the choir displayed national award-winning music. In 2020, midway through the season, choir rehearsals were forced to stop due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Since then, the BCYC as a group was phased out and there was a focus put on the Bach Childrens Chorus (BCC).
