Scouting
I've been a part of Scouts Canada for more than 10 years, which has been a great part of my life. When I joined the 4th Humber West, I immediately made a friend thanks to the late Gloria Partlo. Since then we've been great friends and have made new friends along the way. As then-Scouts and Venturers, we planned and have been camping in tents, cabins, and snow forts. Scouts were formed to bring people closer together; it has done that for me and my friends. Being a part of this organization has given me the opportunity to learn life skills and develop life-long friendships.
In 2019, I was given the opportunity to become the company president of my venture company. This involves opening and closing the meeting as well as controlling the general flow of the meeting. Since then, I took on the role of company president and finished my scouting journey in the same role. While my journey has reached the end, my experience has not. I continue to be engaged with the Scouting community throughout the year, attending camps and supporting my unit whenever I can.
